I provide expertise, advice and coaching to small businesses who need to improve the effectiveness of their selling activities.
My professional background is sales of products and services both here in the UK and internationally in a wide range of business sectors including building materials, transport and logistics equipment, design services, accounting and payroll software and services, IT system management software, telemarketing services, satellite communications equipment.
Most recently I was the Sales & Marketing Director and Interim CEO of a UK cloud accounting software vendor.
I have recruited, developed and trained sales teams and I derive as much satisfaction from helping salespeople and teams become successful as I did when closing sales deals that ranged from a few hundred pounds to over a million.
I have worked for, owned and run SME’s, so I understand the mindset required, the pressures faced and the pride and sometimes defensive ways in which owner/managers view their business… it is, after all “their baby”.
Now I apply those years of experience to help accountants help their clients become successful.
Outside of work, I’m a keen (if slow) runner, I play (or rather try to play) several musical instruments (not all at the same time!). However, my ability to collect instruments far outweighs my ability to play them. I’m a long-time supporter of London Irish Rugby Club.
