Located in Wimborne, Southern Stairs manufactures staircases and balustrades for major building projects including offices, railway stations, schools and colleges.
The business has been a client with us since 2007.
For many years Southern Stairs had a full time employee to deal with the bookkeeping and internal accounts. Her impending retirement led to a re-think of the internal structure. We were approached by the company to discuss how we could deliver a suitable range of services.
The company had well established procedures and systems in place, together with long term retained accountants, so we had to deliver a solution that would integrate fully in order to provide a full end-to-end service seamlessly.
The requirement covered everything from day to day bookkeeping and accounting, monthly reports, quarterly VAT, CIS submissions, through to end of year accounts.
We provide a fully integrated outsourced ‘accounts department’ almost as if we were in the office next door. We’ve introduced simple processes to help internal staff easily manage the daily flow of information. We update the accounts daily, and monthly management reports, VAT, CIS, etc are all managed effectively. We’re readily available to the directors at any time and we can deal with ad hoc issues as they require. Periodically, we liaise with the company’s long term retained accountants.
