Accounting Services for Business was established in 2002. We provide a managed 'Virtual Accounts Office' and payroll service to a wide range of clients.
We have exciting plans for growth this year including offices in Southampton and London.
We now have a vacancy for a top flight person to join our small friendly team in Bournemout as:
To have the right background, you must have a minimum of two years experience working within an accountancy practice dealing with a variety client work.
You will be keen to progress in your career - we like ambitious people!
You will need to be a 'hands on person’ who can take full responsibility for client work from arrival of paperwork through to production of management reports, preparation of VAT Returns, bank reconciliation, etc
You’ll be confident dealing with acounts for sole traders, self assessments, partnerships, limited companies with revenues of several million pounds, and clients operating with multiple currencies.
Naturally, you’ll be fluent with Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Office (predominantly Word and Excel). You'll know how to use these applications efficiently.
It would be advantageous if you also had experience with VT Transaction +, CCH, TAS Books, Payroll (Sage & Qtac), Bankstream, and cloud accounting software.
You must be formally qualified

Totally reliable and able to accept responsibility
It would be advantageous if you have a good awareness of current IT and software trends in accountancy practices.
The position is based at our Westbourne (Bournemouth) office. There is on-site parking and we are well served by local buses
Flexibility in working hours will be required. You may also be required to work on site at client's offices. You will therefore need to be professionally presented and comfortable working independently with our clients.
You will need to live within easy commuting distance of Westbourne, ideally within 10 miles, and have your own reliable transport.
